Description: Date sugar is made from dehydrated dates, which after drying, are then pulverized into granulated powder. It contains sucrose, glucose, fructose, and complex carbohydrates, as well as folic acid.
What to look for: Made from organic, unsulphured dates.
Uses: Substitute equally for white sugar. It is great in baking, cakes, muffins and quick breads. It can be exchanged for brown sugar in crumb toppings.
