Is their a possible Vegan way to make this?
Certainly, please try the following: (And remember, please use organic where you can)
250g plain flour
350g Demerara sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
250ml water
65g plain cocoa powder
125ml olive oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pre-heat your oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Pur in the olive oil, vanilla and water. Mix them all together until weel blended. Spread evenly in a baking tin.
Bake for 25 to 30 mins. (Please ensure you preheat your oven first).
The time frame stated above with them nice and gooey, so if you want them harder, please cook for slightly longer.
You can also add your own ingrediants to give it more kick, like walnuts or my favorite, hazelnuts..... yummy!
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do :-)
Cheers
Joe
