The situation with the Pharmaceutical Industry also occurs in other industries too. The BofD's conflict of interest of working for its shareholders rather than the patient or customer is everywhere - Banks included. This WHY in business the Pharmaceutical company washes its hand of its' moral duty for profits, but the shareholders are part of the patient list too. So, it's the CEO's and BofD's who reap the benefits during good times and then run in the bad times. It already recognised that CEO are part of the GFC today and still the system doesn't change. The consumer's only respite is in the masses - stop buying their products and look for natural remedies. If the Pharmaceutical Industry doesn't do anything and profits do go down, the country will become a police state to avoid the moral duty to the public.
